SK ELCC Stakeholders Report 2023

We’re pleased to share the Saskatchewan ELCC Stakeholder Report (June 2023), a summary of discussions with early learning and child care leaders across the province on priorities for the next phase of system-building. The report reflects collective insights on affordability, accessibility, quality, and inclusion following the first years of the Canada-wide child care agreement.

While progress has been made, such as reducing parent fees, stakeholders emphasize the urgent need for sustained investments in workforce supports, expansion of child care spaces, and improved inclusion for children with diverse needs. The report highlights key policy directions to guide governments and partners in building a high-quality, equitable ELCC system for Saskatchewan families.
