Board of Directors

How To Become a SECA Board Member:

SECA board members are elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is typically the first Wednesday of December. A call for nominations is released to our membership six weeks prior to our AGM and invites members in good standing with a professional membership to submit an application for nomination for consideration to run for election for a two-year term on the Board of Directors.

Applications and Election process: Complete the online nomination form no later than the deadline presented in the call for nominations. Nominations to the SECA board will be presented electronically to SECA’s membership for their consideration prior to SECA's Annual General Meeting and will be voted on by SECA members at the AGM. If elected, the two year term will be effective following the official election of the Directors held at the Annual General Meeting.

Requirements of Applicant: A Director must hold a personal professional SECA membership in good standing for at least one year, be 18 years of age, be a resident of Saskatchewan, have documented and demonstrated leadership and involvement in an early learning organization, and support the mandate, mission and strategic objectives of SECA to qualify to hold office.
