Help Shape a New Benefits & Support Program for Home Child Care Providers!

Home child care providers play a vital role in supporting families and communities. We know that accessing essential supports like benefits, insurance, and administrative help can be difficult, expensive, or simply out of reach.

We’re exploring the development of a shared benefits and support program designed specifically for home child care providers, and we want to ensure it reflects what you truly need.

This program could potentially include:

  • Liability insurance

  • Health and dental coverage

  • Disability insurance

  • Retirement or pension contributions

  • Bookkeeping and financial support

  • HR support (policies, contracts, guidance)

  • Professional development funding

  • Additional supports identified by providers

We recognize that sustainable and adequate funding remains a critical issue across the child care sector, and we continue to advocate for increased public investment to better support providers.

At the same time, we are exploring additional ways to help address immediate needs through shared services and supports. This work is intended to complement, not replace, the ongoing need for a strong funding framework.
