Newcomer Women Entrepreneurs Program
We are happy to share that registration is now open for our Newcomer Women Entrepreneur Program.
This program is for newcomer women who:
Are 18 years or older
Live in Saskatchewan
Are legally allowed to work in Canada
Are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a Temporary Resident Permit
Have an ICT number - Easy to get here are the steps: Call in to the Career Services Hosted Contact Centre (HCC) via the toll-free number, 1-833-613-0485 to obtain an Immigration and Career Training (ICT) Client ID number (select option 3, and then 2). You will need to share your SIN number on this call to ICT.
Have been running a home child care program for less than 6 months.
What will you learn?
In this free program, you will join a small group of other newcomer women to learn important business topics:
How to do business in Saskatchewan
Record keeping for your business
Licenses, permits, and certificates
Communication and building relationships
One-on-one time with a business advisor
Peer group sessions for support and sharing
There will be 10 weekly sessions on Thursdays at 7 pm, starting on August 7th, 2025. Each session is 45 minutes.
You will also receive:
- A free access code to take one SaskPolytech online course (after completing weekly assignments)
- A free professional service (such as marketing, bookkeeping, or business planning) after completing the program
Group size is small (5–10 people), so register early to save your spot!
